Project DYNAMO completed three weeks of humanitarian operations following the earthquakes in Venezuela.

Our mission focused on delivering water, food, medicine, shelter materials, and rescue equipment to affected communities. By the end of the operation, our teams had delivered more than 50 metric tons of humanitarian aid.

Activating the Response

Project DYNAMO activated its local teams shortly after the earthquakes. These teams remained active for three weeks.

More than 30 volunteers from partner organizations and local communities supported the response. Together, they identified urgent needs and coordinated the movement of supplies into affected areas.

Establishing the Operation

Our teams organized the receipt, storage, transportation, and distribution of humanitarian aid.

Local partnerships were essential. They gave Project DYNAMO the access and knowledge needed to reach communities facing shortages of clean water, food, medicine, and safe shelter.

In addition, the teams adjusted distribution plans as conditions changed. This allowed aid to continue moving throughout the operation.

Humanitarian Aid Delivered

During the three-week response, Project DYNAMO and its partners delivered more than 50 metric tons of assistance, including:

  • 16 metric tons of drinking water
  • 14 metric tons of nonperishable food
  • 6 metric tons of rescue equipment
  • 6 metric tons of mattresses
  • 6 metric tons of tents
  • 5 metric tons of medicine and medical supplies

Each delivery required careful coordination. Transportation providers, volunteers, partner organizations, and distribution teams worked together to move the supplies.

As a result, essential aid reached families in some of the hardest-hit communities.

What Made the Response Possible

The operation combined Project DYNAMO’s crisis logistics experience with the local knowledge of our teams and partners.

That combination allowed us to respond quickly and maintain the operation for three weeks. It also helped us direct supplies toward communities with the most urgent needs.

Our donors and supporters made every delivery possible. Their support provided the resources needed to transport and distribute aid inside Venezuela.

Final Assessment

The Project DYNAMO humanitarian response in Venezuela continued after public attention began to fade.

Humanitarian needs do not end when the headlines disappear. Families still need water, food, medicine, and safe shelter during the weeks that follow a disaster.

Over three weeks, Project DYNAMO established an effective local distribution network. Our teams and partners then used that network to deliver more than 50 metric tons of essential aid.

The operation demonstrated what coordinated local action can accomplish. It also confirmed the importance of remaining present throughout the response—not only during the first days of an emergency.
