Operation Hormuz Hustle: Project DYNAMO Successfully Evacuates Texas Couple Celebrating 20-Year Anniversary from Dubai Amid Iranian Attacks

Project DYNAMO, the veteran-led international rescue organization dedicated to evacuating Americans from conflict zones and disaster areas, has successfully evacuated another family from the Middle East since the war began last week.

This time, an American couple from Dallas, Texas, who were stranded in Dubai while celebrating their 20-year wedding anniversary, was safely rescued from the ongoing Iranian missile strikes and drone attacks and taken to a safe location. This rescue was conducted as part of Operation Hormuz Hustle, under mission designation EJ311.

The couple had planned to return home on Wednesday, March 4. However, regional airspace closures and disruptions following Iranian missile and drone assaults left them trapped in the United Arab Emirates. After submitting a global evacuation request through projectdynamo.net, Project DYNAMO swiftly mobilized a team to assist.

On Saturday, March 7, amid intensified attacks, including an Iranian drone strike on Dubai International Airport that morning, Project DYNAMO’s team drove from an undisclosed location in Oman and rendezvoused with the couple. As the rescuers navigated the region, the couple sheltered in the basement of their hotel while Iranian rockets targeted Dubai. Despite the dangers, the team completed the evacuation Saturday afternoon, safely transporting the couple to an undisclosed location in Oman, where they are now awaiting their return flight to Dallas.

“This evacuation underscores the unpredictable and perilous nature of the current conflict, where civilians can quickly find themselves in harm’s way,” said Mario Duarte, president and CEO of Project DYNAMO. “Our team acted decisively to bring this couple out of immediate danger, ensuring they could continue their journey home safely. We’re grateful for their trust in us during such a terrifying ordeal and to our donors who made the mission possible.”

Project DYNAMO continues to monitor the evolving situation across the Middle East, with teams operating in Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates to assist stranded Americans. The organization has received hundreds of requests for help from these locations, as well as from groups in Iraq, Lebanon, and Qatar, since the conflict intensified and remains committed to providing guidance, safe routes, and direct evacuations where needed.

Founded by U.S. military veterans, Project DYNAMO has rescued more than 7,500 people worldwide from conflict zones, natural disasters, and deteriorating security environments, including operations in Israel, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Haiti, and U.S. disaster areas.
