Project DYNAMO Team Returning From 12-day Israel-Iran Conflict Friday After Assisting Approximately 1,500 People, Evacuating 273 During Rescue Missions

Members of the Project DYNAMO rescue team are returning to the United States following a series of high-risk humanitarian missions in Israel that resulted in assistance to approximately 1,500 people and the successful evacuation of 273 individuals, most of them American citizens.

While on the ground in Israel, Project DYNAMO responded to dynamic and dangerous conditions. In one instance, two team members from Heroes for Humanity, volunteering in support of Project DYNAMO, responded to a missile strike in Beersheba where a ballistic missile hit a building, killing four and injuring others. The volunteers provided immediate aid and support to survivors in the aftermath.

Operations in Tel Aviv were directly supported by Maccabi World Union and the Kfar Maccabiah complex. This partnership provided critical logistical support, including lodging and staging space. The Kfar Maccabiah complex is known locally in Israel for hosting returning Israelis who were held hostage and their families. Additionally, the complex offers rest and recovery for IDF service members returning from combat missions.

“We sincerely appreciate the support of our donors and our partners, Heroes for Humanity and the Maccabi World Union,” said Mario Duarte, CEO of Project DYNAMO. “Without their support, this effort would not have been possible.”
