Project DYNAMO, the combat veteran led international rescue organization known for evacuating Americans from conflict zones and disaster areas, is actively assisting U.S. citizens across the Middle East as regional instability continues to impact travel routes and security conditions.
Over the past several days, Project DYNAMO has received more than 100 requests for evacuation assistance from Americans across the region. The requests range from individual travelers to large groups, including one request involving more than 60 people seeking assistance to reach safety.
Project DYNAMO teams have already assisted more than 100 individuals, helping Americans navigate rapidly changing conditions on the ground. Assistance has included providing en route guidance to operational airports, coordinating safe travel routes, and physically transporting individuals to secure locations where they can continue their journey home.
In several cases, those who contacted Project DYNAMO for evacuation assistance were able to successfully depart on their own as limited commercial flights have intermittently resumed operations out of select airports.
Project DYNAMO teams are currently operating across Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, making this the organization’s most geographically complex operation to date. Additional requests for assistance have been received from Americans located in other countries across the region as the situation continues to evolve and team members from Project DYNAMO are working to expand operations to assist them, as well.
“Our teams are actively monitoring the situation and assisting Americans who suddenly found themselves in a very dangerous and uncertain environment,” said Mario Duarte, president and CEO of Project DYNAMO. “Some people were traveling for work, others were on vacation and one Texas couple was celebrating their anniversary. When the situation started changing quickly, they needed reliable information and support to get home safely.”
Project DYNAMO teams remain engaged across the region as requests for assistance continue to arrive.
Founded by U.S. military veterans, Project DYNAMO has rescued more than 7,500 people worldwide from conflict zones, natural disasters, and rapidly deteriorating security environments, including operations in Israel, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Haiti, and multiple disaster zones across the United States.
