Evacuation Missions Continue Amid Iranian Missile Attacks Defying Ceasefire Deal

Missile alert and seek-shelter sirens wailed throughout Israel while Project DYNAMO was actively evacuating a group of 15 Americans and Canadians from Israel earlier this morning.TEL AVIV, Israel – Project DYNAMO, a U.S. veteran-led, donor-funded nonprofit, successfully evacuated 15 more Americans and Canadians from Israel this morning, despite diverting the evacuees to take them to shelter from a missile attack initiated by Iran following the supposed ceasefire agreement.

This now marks more than 250 American, British. Canadian, Dutch, French and German individuals and families who Project DYNAMO has evacuated and returned to their families since the war began. Shortly after meeting the evacuees at a prearranged rendezvous location, the team departed outside of Tel Aviv en route to the Jordanian border when, about 90 minutes into the mission, cell phones and sirens blared across northern Israel, signaling missile launches from Iran.

The group, escorted by Project DYNAMO volunteers, was immediately diverted to a nearby factory where the evacuees were taken to a bomb shelter. Once the situation stabilized and the all-clear was provided, the team resumed transit, successfully crossing the Jordanian border after noon.

“I am happy to report that the evacuees are now safely at the airport and on their way home. I continue to be blown away by our team members who selflessly put others first and lead these people out of extreme danger,” said Mario Duarte, CEO of Project DYNAMO. “If you know anyone who still needs to get to safety, don’t wait. Let us know today!”

While flights are soon expected to resume from Tel Aviv, currently the number of people who are reported to be allowed to depart on each plane will be limited, making scheduling departures out of Israel very difficult.

Project DYNAMO is prioritizing American citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and allies. Those needing evacuation should register at https://projectdynamo.net/global-evacuation-request/. Since 2021, Project DYNAMO has rescued over 7,300 individuals from conflict zones and disaster areas, including Afghanistan, Ukraine, Mexico, Haiti, Sudan, and Israel. The group previously evacuated hundreds from Israel after the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7, 2023. Backed by former U.S. Special Operations and intelligence professionals, Project DYNAMO conducts high-risk rescue missions, fully funded by donors. Donations can be made at https://projectdynamo.net.
