CAMARILLO, Calif. — Project DYNAMO, a U.S.-based, veteran-led nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and assisting Americans in crisis worldwide, announced that California businessman David Fernandez has joined the organization’s advisory board, strengthening their strategic guidance as operations continue to expand in complex and high-risk environments.

Fernandez brings decades of leadership experience operating at the intersection of innovation, risk management, and mission-critical execution. He is president and chief executive officer of DFNDR Armor, which develops and provides critical protective solutions trusted by U.S. Special Operations Forces and other frontline units operating in austere and hostile conditions.

Throughout his career, Fernandez has worked closely with operators whose effectiveness and survivability depend on equipment reliability, sound judgment and disciplined execution. His experience advising teams operating under extreme pressure informs his approach to leadership, strategic planning and decision-making.

At Project DYNAMO, Fernandez will advise on organizational strategy, operational foresight and risk-informed decision-making, supporting leadership as the organization conducts rescue and assistance missions in increasingly complex global environments.

“David understands what it means to support people who operate where clarity and reliability are not optional,” said Mario Duarte, president and chief executive officer of Project DYNAMO. “That perspective will allow us to sharpen how we think, how we plan and how we manage risk in the environments where our teams operate.”

Project DYNAMO conducts rescue, evacuation and assistance missions worldwide, supporting Americans and allies facing crisis situations including conflict zones, natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies. The organization relies on experienced professionals and trusted partners to execute missions with speed, discretion and accountability.
